What Carlee is

Carlee is a daily online car-guessing game that you can play in your web browser. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information may be involved when you use the Carlee website and how that information is handled.

Information we collect directly

Carlee does not currently require you to create an account, and it does not currently provide a contact form, newsletter signup, or other feature that asks you to submit personal information through the website itself.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, when you visit Carlee your browser makes requests to the server that hosts the site (for example, to load pages, stylesheets, scripts, and the car catalog). Hosting providers commonly keep standard technical logs that may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device information (often via the User-Agent string)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Pages or files requested
  • Referring URL, if provided by your browser

Carlee’s own application code does not currently implement analytics tools, advertising trackers, or custom logging of personal information beyond what is needed to deliver the game pages and the car catalog file.

How information is used

Information related to your visit may be used to:

  • Serve and operate the Carlee website and game
  • Maintain security and diagnose technical issues (for example, via hosting logs)
  • Respond to messages you send by email

We do not sell personal information.

Game data stored on your device

Carlee saves your gameplay in your browser’s localStorage so that you can refresh or close the page without losing an unfinished game. The stored data is:

  • Your in-progress or completed Daily game for the current date (the secret car, your submitted guesses, and whether the game is won, lost, or still going)
  • Your in-progress Unlimited game, if you have one
  • Daily statistics: games played, wins, current streak, max streak, and the date of your last completed Daily puzzle

This data stays on your device and is not sent to or stored on Carlee servers. It is not tied to a name, email, or account, and it is not used for advertising or analytics. Because it is per-browser, clearing your site data resets your streak, and another browser or device will show separate progress.

You can delete it at any time by clearing site data for Carlee in your browser settings.

Cookies and similar technologies

Carlee’s own front-end code does not currently set cookies for analytics, advertising, or account sessions. The localStorage described above is not a tracking cookie; it is only used to keep your own game state on your device. Your browser may still store ordinary temporary technical data needed to load pages (such as cached files).

If cookies or similar technologies are added later, for example for advertising, analytics, or preferences, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe them.

Third-party services, analytics, and advertising

As of the effective date of this policy, Carlee’s codebase does not integrate third-party analytics platforms (such as Google Analytics) or advertising networks (such as Google AdSense).

The site may still be delivered through a hosting or content-delivery provider chosen to publish the website. Those providers may process technical request data under their own privacy practices.

Advertising (including Google AdSense): Carlee does not currently use Google AdSense or other advertising networks. If advertising is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated to describe the partners involved, the kinds of data they may collect, and how you can learn more about their practices (including any available opt-out mechanisms).

Data retention and security

Because Carlee does not currently operate its own account database or form backend, personal information is not stored by the game application itself; game progress and statistics remain in your own browser. Hosting providers may retain server logs for a limited period according to their policies. Emails you send are retained as long as needed to handle your request.

Reasonable care is taken to keep the site and related communications secure, but no method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure.

Children’s privacy

Carlee is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Carlee website. If you believe a child has provided personal information (for example by emailing us), please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, for example if new features, analytics, or advertising are added. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of Carlee after an update means you should review the revised policy.
